Taking the classic path racer style that 8Ball has championed to it’s natural extension, Huxley is a lugged steel, hand brazed Columbus Zona road frameset kitted out with quality modern or retro components.

Our own preference is the classic styling featuring a groupset by Japanese component specialists Dia Compe, in the Gran Compe Zero offering, which marries old school looks with modern technology. To keep with the authentic styling however we have non aero brake cable routing and bar end friction shifters on the Velo Orange Randonneur handlebars, which keep the Halo Retro 6D wheelset spinning. Of course, you may prefer index shifting, a full Campagnolo, Shimano or Sram groupset and a different paint job. We can sort that too.

Compact geometry makes for a nimble and agile machine, excellent in traffic, while the short wheel base gives an unexpected bonus in terms of storage space.

The handlebars are finished with Brooks real leather bar tape, stylish, classy and hard wearing, colour matched to the Brooks saddle. The vegan alternative is a colour matched Brooks Cambium with cloth tape, just like they used to use back in the day.

Personalisation and customisation comes as standard. We’ll give you a shout after your order is placed to check what length and rise stem you would like to make sure the cockpit is comfortable. As well as discussing the gear configuration (front and rear cogs) to make sure your gearing is fit for purpose. You want more speed, or better climbing options? No problem.
